Why Calibrated Shuttering Plywood for Aluminium Formwork
Aluminium and system formwork depends on every panel being exactly the same thickness. If boards vary, panels sit unevenly in the frame, joints show on the concrete and the system takes longer to assemble. ZIPCO® Calibrated Shuttering Plywood is manufactured to a precise, uniform thickness so it sits flush in aluminium frames and scaffolding systems.
Black film with higher GSM
The board is faced with a higher-GSM black film. A heavier film resists abrasion from concrete and handling, releases more cleanly and lasts longer, which is why the board is rated for 30+ repetitions in waterproof RCC formwork.
12mm or 18mm?
12mm (approx. 24 kg per sheet) suits aluminium and system formwork where the frame supports the board at short intervals, and keeps panels light for faster cycles. 18mm (approx. 35 kg) is used where supports are spaced wider or loads are higher.
